What does Memory Mill do?

It teaches the Major System, the memory technique that turns digits into sounds and sounds into words you can picture. Then it teaches the method of loci (a memory palace): walking a route you know and leaving a picture at each stop. The app is free, with no account and no in-app purchases.

How do I move my progress to a new iPhone?

On the old phone, open Settings (the button next to your level on the home screen) and tap Back up progress. Save the file somewhere the new phone can reach, such as iCloud Drive in Files, or AirDrop it across.

On the new phone, install Memory Mill, open Settings, tap Restore from a backup and pick that file. The app shows what the backup holds before it replaces anything.

If you set up the new phone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one, your progress usually comes across with it.

I deleted the app. Is my progress gone?

Progress lives only on your phone, so deleting the app deletes it. Reinstalling starts from the beginning unless you restore a backup file you saved earlier (Settings → Restore from a backup). Back up before you delete the app or reset your phone. You can test your way into later stages of the app if progress is lost.

Does it work on iPad or Android?

Memory Mill is made for iPhone. It is not designed for iPad, and there is no Android version.

Where is my data sent?

Nowhere. The app has no accounts and does not connect to the internet. See the privacy policy.
