Pi test: how many digits of pi can you recite?
Type pi from memory, one digit at a time - or study it first, twenty digits at a time. There's no clock; the first wrong digit ends your run. A keyboard works too.
Pi, as pictures.
Nobody holds thousands of loose digits. People who know pi far past the first few dozen turn it into images and walk through them in order. With the Major System, pi's digits go two at a time, and each pair is a word you can picture: 14 15 92 65 35 89 79 32 becomes TIRE TAIL BONE JAIL MULE FOB CAB MOON. A long run of pi turns into a long, strange story.
This page is just the game.
It checks what you know, and the study mode shows pi twenty digits at a time - but it won't make the digits stick on its own. If you want more digits, the Major System is the tool, and the Memory Mill app is where you drill it. This page holds pi to 1,000 decimals, which is further than almost anyone needs.
